Select your spouse Zoi and use the Suggest Having a Baby interaction to try for a pregnancy.
If the Zoi is eligible, a Pregnancy Test button will appear on their portrait.
Keep in mind that pregnancy is not always guaranteed, so don't be too disappointed if it doesn't work out.

Pregnancy is a key feature for family and generational gameplay in inZOI, allowing married Zois to have children.
Requirements
To attempt pregnancy, the following conditions must be met:
- The couple must be a married male and female Zoi. Unmarried Zois cannot try for a baby.
- The Zois must be living together.
- The couple must have a strong romantic relationship.
- The household must have fewer than 8 Zois, as pregnancy will automatically fail if the household is full.
- Currently, only female Zois can become pregnant.
- Adoption is not available in the initial Early Access release but is planned for a future update (projected for May 2025). Same-sex couples cannot have biological children via pregnancy in the game at this time.
How to Try for a Baby
1. Have one married Zoi initiate a social interaction with their spouse. 2. Navigate to the "Romance" category in the dialogue options. 3. Select the interaction "Suggest Having a Baby". (Note: Using the standard "Set The Mood Next To Bed" interaction will not result in a chance for pregnancy). 4. If the spouse agrees, the couple will typically go to a bedroom and attempt to conceive (often depicted via a cutscene or effect like hearts/blur). 5. Success is not guaranteed on the first try; multiple attempts may be necessary.
Confirming Pregnancy
- After the "Suggest Having a Baby" interaction concludes, a red exclamation mark may appear on the female Zoi's portrait in the UI.
- Clicking this exclamation mark provides the option to "Take a Pregnancy Test". The Zoi will then use a toilet to perform the test.
- A pop-up notification will appear, announcing whether the pregnancy test was positive or negative.
Pregnancy Period
- A confirmed pregnancy lasts for three in-game days.
- The pregnant Zoi's belly will visibly grow larger each day.
- During pregnancy, the Zoi may experience specific moodlets, discomfort, or feel sick (with an option to vomit in the toilet). However, their basic Needs do not seem to deteriorate faster than usual.
- Appearance editing for the pregnant Zoi is disabled until after birth.
- Pregnant Zois gain access to unique interactions, such as:
* Announcing the pregnancy. * Inviting others to feel the baby move. * Discussing baby plans with their spouse. * Looking at ultrasound pictures on their phone. * Shopping for baby products on the computer. * Experiencing food cravings.
- If a couple gets divorced while the Zoi is pregnant, the Zoi will remain pregnant.
Giving Birth
1. After three days, a red exclamation mark will appear on the pregnant Zoi's portrait with the prompt "Give Birth". 2. Clicking this initiates the birth process. 3. The Zoi may give birth on the spot or automatically go to the hospital. A short cutscene typically follows, often showing the mother in a hospital bed holding the newborn. 4. If the player misses the birth prompt (e.g., the pregnant Zoi is not in the active household), the birth happens automatically, but the player misses the cutscene and the naming opportunity.
After Birth: The Newborn
- Following the birth cutscene (or automatic birth), the player returns to the home lot.
- A newborn baby appears inside a crib. The crib is placed automatically in a random room but can be moved using Build Mode.
- A pop-up appears revealing the baby's gender and allowing the player to choose a first and last name. If the birth was missed, the baby receives a random first name and the father's last name.
- Newborns have a randomized trait. Values and Desired Lives are not available at this stage.
- The Newborn life stage lasts for one in-game day.
- Newborns are confined to their cribs and cannot be held or carried.
- Parents and other Zois can interact with the newborn socially while it's in the crib (e.g., talking, showing affection). Basic needs like feeding and changing are handled automatically or via interaction prompts.
- After one day, the Newborn automatically ages up into a Toddler.
Notes
- Early Access teasers have shown families with two babies at once, hinting that twins may be possible through pregnancy, although this is not explicitly confirmed in text guides.
